Posted March 02, 2018 12:08:04 A man was found dead at the bottom of a Colorado canyon after he jumped off a cliff, police said.
A Colorado woman was reportedly arrested Wednesday for the killing of her boyfriend after she threw him off the Colorado River bridge in southwest Colorado.
Authorities said it was unclear why the man jumped off the edge.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police said they do not believe the man committed suicide.
A sheriff’s deputy, who was at the scene and could not be identified because of the investigation, said he found the man on the top of the canyon, about 150 yards (90 meters) down.
He said the man was lying face down on the ground, bleeding from a head wound.
He told authorities that he saw the man fall from the bridge.
Police had no description of the suspect.
Authorities are still searching for the woman, who authorities said was also in her 30s, according to The Denver Post.
A spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Public Safety told local media that the woman was not in custody and had not been interviewed.
