Milan are set to complete the signing of Lyon midfielder Victor Lassiter on a one-year contract.

According to reports, Milan will pay €1.7 million for the 26-year-old and the club are confident he can become a Milan first team regular.

Lassiter has made just five appearances in Serie A so far this season, but he has proven to be an effective player in the second division.

The Algerian is valued at €10 million by Lyon, but the Rossoneri have reportedly been unable to agree a contract extension with the club.

The midfielder joined the Ligue 1 champions in 2012 and scored six goals in all competitions.

The deal has been confirmed by Lassito and he said: “I am delighted to be joining Milan.

I am happy to join a club with the same values as Milan.”

Lassit said: “(I am) happy to be here because it is a great club and I want to achieve my goals here.

I like Milan’s culture and the football.

I think they have the right idea.
