Tesla Motors, Inc., has announced the launch of the Model III, the first mass-market electric vehicle, at its factory in Fremont, California, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric vehicles.

The Model III will be priced at $29,400 with a $1,000 federal tax credit.

Tesla said the Model 3 will be available in 2019, and that sales are expected to grow to $100 billion by 2023.
